23 - “Hop n Shop” in Downtown Ridgway was a success even though a bit of rain in the morning. The afternoon faired well for those getting out to get some Easter gifts. We are very appreciative for the unique shops within the Ridgway area that sprang into to hosting music, specials, and hospitality. A special thank you to those at Awakening Alliance Church who help create the Annual Easter Egg Hunt for our families.

24 -27 Chainsaw Rendezvous   Ridgway Mills Campground. Appalachian Arts Studio will be hosting carvers at The Ridgway Mills, April 24-27 for live carving, food, entertainment, and a small auction. Many carvers will bring finished pieces with them to sell directly. April is going to be perfect weather for the event and you don’t want to miss it. There will be a $5/person gate fee for adults. Kids (under 18) are free. You’ll get a wristband that is good all four days of the Rendezvous!

11 - The Pete and Karen Winklebaur Art Fund at the Red Fern on May 11th from 6-8 to celebrate Pete Winklbauer’s artistry and achievements. The event will feature Pete’s artwork and that of many of his accomplished former students. It’s an evening not to be missed, filled with socializing, art appreciation, and insights into the remarkable journeys of our incredible alums. We have a little room here at the Welcome Center if you live too far out to be on the map, or just want to be in town! Yard Salers only! The map will be printed in the Ridgway Record, The Kane Republican and the St. Marys Press. The maps will be available for pickup the MORNING OF the sale at the Welcome Center and The Creative Cup.

APPLICATION The parade will begin at 4 p.m., lineup at the Ridgway Mills Campground and proceed up Main Street and down North Broad to the Carnival grounds. Everyone is welcome to attend and encouraged to participate! If you’re interested in joining in the parade as a business, organiztion or group just click on the above highlighted APPLICATION, fill it out and send it in, we’d love to have you join in the fun!

20 - Heritage Tree Planting Ceremony at the Ridgway Courthouse The Elk County Commissioners plan to plant two trees on the courthouse lawn in May, in conjunction with the Ridgway Bicentennial celebration. Both trees are certified and from the American Heritage Tree program;  1 will be a Tulip Poplar tree that is an actual seedling from a tree at Mount Vernon and planted by George Washington.  The 2nd will be a Bur Oak seedling from Missouri and is certified that Mark Twain actually played in that tree as a youth.  There will be a plaque for each tree;  they have lifespans of 200-300 years.  The dedication ceremony will be held on June 20th, time to be announced.

23 - 1:00 p.m. Opening of the Time Capsule Celebration at the Borough Municipal Parking Lot. *Weather an issue? Moved to the Fire hall on North Broad. The contents will be moved and on display at the Elk County Historical Society after the ceremony

26 - 27 Rock Valley Revival Please mark your calendars for the Inaugural Rock Valley Revival music festival that will be held at the Ridgway Fire Dept Carnival grounds July 26th and 27th 2024. We are really going to put this event on the map, and this will be the first large event to showcase our new stage that has been under construction since early last year.

24: Ridgway Animal Haven’s Annual Dog Days at the Beach Event at Sandy Beach Park. There will be lots of vendors and the township's dog show. Officer Shaffer will be presenting with his dog Nando. There will be shed tickets, food, and a basket raffle. More is coming soon. Don’t wait until the holidays to get your pictures taken! We are looking for teams to create photo booths for the holidays! Teams will create booths with the help of sponsors. Whoever receives the most donations from booth pictures at the event will win cash prizes.
